All this has happened before, and it will all happen again. But this time it happened in London. It happened on a quiet street in Bloomsbury. That corner house over there is the home of the Darling family. And Peter Pan chose this particular house because there were people here who believed in him.
cause peter pan has been the only thing to pull me out of this damn art block. i've had this idea for ages so i finally thought i should just sit down and do it. used references from the film and murals in disneyland that i had photo's of ive been doing this since 8 this morning. *while watching glee.* please full view. i put lots of effort into le little details for once in my life. paintool SAI texture: ~asphyxiate-Stock
This is beautiful. I love how the detail in the lights and the layout of London and how it contrasts with the ethereal colours of the sky. The detailing on Big Ben is fantastic and I love that the clock hands are in the same position as in the film scene. At first I thought Peter Pan was just in silhouette but then I looked at the piece again in full view, and his stance and colouring are spot on! I think it captures perfectly the mystery and wonder of the film and the story. What I love most is that the contrast of the detail and the mystery in the piece is like the contrast between the children's real world and Neverland. A million times well done!
One of my absolute favourite frames from that movie is the silhouette of Peter Pan up on the roof. It tends to appear clearly in my mind when I least expect it and to see such beautiful art capturing that image and making it into so much more. Thank you for this. The view over London looks amazing. Even if I possessed the skill I would never have the patience to give something like that a shot
